An out of practice reader discussing the books I get around to reading.
So, quick story related to the book but not about the book. I checked this out to read at the laundromat and did just that. Guy sitting next to me asked about it. I told him what little I knew. We started talking, mostly about books. Turns out we'd been at the laundromat the same day before. My laundry finishes and I pack up to go. I wish him a good night. He asks me out. I get his number. Now I'm just kind of panicking. So good job, Fluke. Got me a date kind of.
Anyway. On to the book.
It's good. I've been wanting to read something of his for a while and I saw In the Heart of the Sea on Friday so I'm in a whale mood. It's really funny. There were quite a few points where I laughed out loud in the laundromat, which is probably why Laundry Guy took notice.
It is a little slow so I don't know how long it'll take me to read but it's not a huge concern. My goal is to finish by the end of the year. So we'll see.
